This was taken from the THE
SCOTTISH CURLER, dated October 1993 and the caption reads -
“Watched by Royal Club President George Hardie and Ladies
President Sheila Watson, and their rink and Jimmy Bennie and his Linlithgow
team, Bob Christie in top hat and frock coat, throws the first stone at the
Royal Club’s 150th Anniversary Bonspiel at Perth.”
Clearly seen on the left side with Jimmy is Tom Lambie and Roy Kennedy and on the right side at the back
is Charlie Aikman (with his famous flat cap!)
For the record, the Linlithgow rink walloped the President’s rink!
